Our first annual Summit Theme: Setting the Stage for Success: Equipping black male educators with the tools to enhance your classrooms, students, and self, employs educators to rethink their strategies towards education by asking necessary questions: Are you an effective educator? Are your students getting the most out of your teachings? Could they benefit from more? Could you? Are you preparing them with the necessary tools for adulthood? With the professional development tools gained in these workshops, attendees will make the enhancements within their: What is the most important part of educating? Is it the students? The teacher? Or the classroom? Though the students' needs will all take precedence, every educator can agree all three components are vital to the success of any classroom. This summit is a celebration of Black Male Educators, Instructional Assistants, Counselors, Program Specialists, Administrators, Youth Development professionals, and all educational personnel in the state of Washington.
